Tattoo Aftercare
Your new tattoo is very delicate. Treat it gently while it's healing and it will look good forever. After an hour remove the bandage and wash off the area with a mild soap, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. DO NOT RE-BANDAGE! Remember to always wash your hands first, then apply A&D ointment a couple times a day for the next two weeks. Only apply a thin, thin layer, and rub it in gently like you are moisturizing, you don't want to smother the tattoo. While it's healing you can expect some scabbing, that's normal. Just let the scabs flake off on their own, no picking. For the next two weeks also avoid swimming pools, hot-tubs, tanning beds, direct sunlight, dirt, grease, and anything else that might harm your tattoo. Showers are fine, just don't let the water bead on the tattoo for a long time.
Piercing Aftercare
Always keep your new piercing clean, and remember to wash your hands before touching your jewelry. Wash piercing 2X daily with anti-bacterial soap and rinse well. Make sure to rotate the jewelry while cleaning. For oral piercings, make sure to rinse with mouthwash after eating, drinking or smoking.
